Gestern Abend haben wir den Preis für den „Best Short Film“ für „What to do with the Silence“ beim International Filmmakers Festival of World Cinema Berlin gewonnen!
My special thanx goes to the creator of the web series, Naomi Beukes-Meyer and her courage ❤️, to the director and director of photography Eddy A Ballardi, as well as to our team and cast, both in Berlin and Rehoboth/Namibia.
And again a big thank you to the Jury and the people behind the Festival!
Winning this award is a step into visibility for all themes (stories about women and their lives, dealing with domestic violence, illegal abortion, easy accessible guns & the danger of it, loss of a child, homosexuality…) that are touched and told through Naomi´s series. Which is – in my eyes – the greatest thing you can achieve as a filmmaker. Thank you for making that happen.

Yesterday evening we won the Award for „Best Short Film“ for „What to do with the Silence“ at the International Filmmakers Festival of World Cinema Berlin!
